Adam Jackson of Arkansas State University hit the distance bar during the pole-vaulting competition at the Vanderbilt Invitational on Friday in Nashville, Tenn. A standout pole-vaulter in high school, Jackson attends school on an academic scholarship and only recently tried out for the team.
